Polydrain Civils:a product catalogue that publishes itself

Polydrain has manufactured drainage, inspection and attenuation products in West Bromwich since 2010. Their new website runs on a product information system (PIMS) built for them by the Aquilon team, and their own staff run it.

01The challenge

A manufacturer's
own catalogue

All the engineering data lived in Polydrain's product workbook, and the old WordPress site couldn't show it.

Most visitors were finding the site by searching the brand name: 774 clicks from brand searches against 86 from everything else over three months. Analytics recorded visits but no enquiries.

  • 774Clicks from searches for Polydrain by nameaverage position 3.0
  • 86Clicks from every other searchfrom 8,120 impressions, average position 22.6

02PIMS: the system behind the site

One source
for every product

Polydrain's product information system holds every product, spec and image in one place. The website, data sheets, quote list and AI assistant all read from it, so the site can only say what the data says. Blank cells stay blank. Nothing is made up.

  • 01Publish without a developer

Changes go live in seconds, and can be rolled back just as quickly.

  • 02Approval built in

Edits are previewed, approved and then published, with access set by role.

  • 03Run by their own team

Products, pages, media and enquiries all managed from one admin.
