About the role
Aquilon is a Birmingham digital agency working with established UK businesses. Our Media team runs SEO, content, email, branding and performance marketing. Our Tech team builds custom software, operations platforms, client portals and AI agents. Most of our clients buy both.
This role exists because good delivery is what keeps clients. No client should have to chase us for an update, and nothing should reach them that has not been checked first.
You will own the day-to-day relationship with a portfolio of clients and make sure what we promised actually lands. It is a Media-facing delivery role, not a back-office one. You will be on the calls talking through performance and plans, then turning that into clear briefs for our content, design, web and SEO team.
What you'll do
- Be the main point of contact for four to six client accounts, from weekly check-ins to quarterly reviews.
- Turn client conversations into scoped, prioritised work with briefs the team can act on.
- Keep delivery moving across the team and chase what is slipping before the client notices.
- Quality-check the work before it reaches the client, and send it back when it is not right.
- Write the client-facing communication: updates, campaign recaps, reporting commentary and proposals.
- Present performance clearly and honestly, including when the numbers are not what anyone hoped.
- Spot when an account is drifting from scope or losing momentum, and raise it early.
- Spot where a client could do more with us, and bring it to the founder with the evidence behind it.
What you'll bring
- 3+ years in a marketing agency, an in-house marketing team or another client-facing marketing role.
- A solid grounding in digital marketing: content, SEO, websites and campaign reporting. You do not need to be the specialist, but you do need to speak the language credibly.
- Strong written English, and a calm, confident manner with senior client contacts on the phone and on video.
- Comfortable running projects: briefs, deadlines, dependencies and chasing.
- Organised enough to hold six accounts at once without dropping anything.
- Based in or near Birmingham and able to be in the office regularly.
Nice to have
- Experience in the UK drainage, civils, construction products or manufacturing sectors.
- Familiarity with Claude, GA4, Google Business Profile, Figma or LinkedIn outreach tools.
- Worked with clients who buy both marketing and software.
What we offer
- 01£32,000 – £36,000 depending on experience, full-time and permanent.
- 02Hybrid working from our Brindley Place office in central Birmingham.
- 03Established UK businesses with real operations, not a churn of small accounts.
- 04Your accounts are yours, with direct access to the founder and no layers in between.
- 05Workplace pension.
- 06A role that grows with the client base as we add accounts.
